About the Artist

Debbie fell in love with glass at a very young age. As a child, she would often pass by her local bakery in Monterey Park, CA and awe at the cakes in the window with tiny glass figurines on top. She quickly started collecting these beautiful glass figurines—she specifically remembers Cinderella and Snow White as her favorites. Fast-forward to her college years when her dad starting working in stained glass. This sparked her interest in glass once again and she was inspired to take a class on her own. At the age of 20, she generated her first stained glass piece, The Rose.

Years later, after raising her three children, Debbie found herself in search of a new, meaningful hobby which quickly landed her back in the glass studio. She found a glass home at Aanraku Glass Studios in San Mateo, CA where she was able to learn and experiment with many new glass forms. She has been creating, building, and generating new works ever since. Debbie works with both stained glass and fused glass. She is passionate about spreading love through her art and truly enjoys teaching others about the fragile magic of glass.
